A web gallery for abandoned architecture, photography, and art.

One of my favorite parts of taking photos of abandoned places is recording a piece of history.

Today my Dad took me to a place we had been before next to some railroad tracks to see an old barn. It was torn down when we arrived. I specifically remember this place because a bee was inside hovering and staring at me.

Anyway, this has happened a bunch of times before and this is just how it goes with abandoned places but It’s neat to look back and think of how many places used to be places and aren’t there anymore. Just think, where you sit right now, some building could have stood there.

I’m sure you can think of a few places this has happened in your home town. Would love to see or hear about them.
