Sandisk is one of the most trusted brand for SD cards and thats why I decided to go with Sandisk (as I have been doing for last decade !!!).I bought a couple of these cards as a backup for the 90MB/s cards I have so that I don’t run in to problem when I cannot backup the photos regularly. At 60MB/s speed, its ideal for normal shooting (not recommended for continuous shooting because the camera will freeze after 7-8 shots because of limited writing speed. Again, its not a bad accessory to have in bag when you are exhausted of space in your primary high-speed, high-capacity cards. The card has a U3 rating which is ideal for video shooting.I would highly recommend this for smaller cameras but not if you use full frame DSLR and want to take continuous shots.

    Great memory card.
Reviewed in the United States on March 25, 2015
I am an engineer...I love data and metrics and all those details that describe performance. This time, I read many reviews that provided mixed reviews in terms of write speeds, but the reviews were good enough and I bought it. Last night I tested not by measuring how fast can I transfer files to my computers, as this most of the time is not my biggest worries. I tested by taking continuous pictures in predefined time interval, and I compared to my other cards.

    Testing:
Camera Canon T4i (set @ 1/4000th sec, no focus point, lens on MF)
Time interval: 15 seconds (on a timer)

    Cards:
    1 - Transcend 32GB 300x (45MB/s) class 10 UHS-1
    2 - Lexar 16GB 400x (60 MB/s) Class 10 UHS-1
    3 - SanDisk 32GB (60Mb/s) Class 10 UHS-3 (This card)

    Method:
Tested by seeing hoe many pictures I could take in 15 seconds. Average of 3 trials with each card.

    Results:
    - Images:
    1 - Transcend 32GB - 17 pictures
    2 - Lexar 16GB - 19 pictures
    3 - SanDisk 32GB - 30 pictures (Wow thats a 50% improvement over the other 2)

    - Write time: (Time required to complete write process after 15 sec continuous shooting)
    1 - Transcend 32GB - 5 sec
    2 - Lexar 16GB - 4 Sec
    3 - SanDisk 32GB - 4 Sec

I expected to be able to take more, but not by such a large margin. I'm sure that a limiting factor was my camera, so I can imagine that newer cameras may exceed the 30 avg pictures in that time frame.

This is a highly recommended card for your camera. If you are into sport shots, or star trails/long exposure shots, this is a great card.

I picked up several of these while on sale during Black Friday. In my experience you can never have too many SD cards lying around.
I have never had a Sandisk card fail on me. *knocks on wood* I get all of the performance and reliability I would expect from an industry leading company.
I shoot with a Nikon D7100 which spits out a relatively large RAW File and have never had any issues this card not being fast enough. The only limitation I have is the lame 6 shot buffer limit on the camera (Seriously Nikon?). And transferring files is done in a snap. Usually around 2 minutes for a full 32gb card. In the past I have used the Extreme Pro cards (one step up) and would not recommend this line of SD cards. You will be paying a lot more money for a seemingly identical experience.

    However.

If you are using a full frame camera capable of using a CF card, I would ABSOLUTELY recommend the Extreme Pro Line of cards over the Extreme. My main camera is a D810 that I use primarily for portrait work. Now this cameras files will make the D7100 files look microscopic. It seems like a 32gb card will only last me 100 shots (seems like it. not actual numbers). In the case of CF cards the speed benefits of the Extreme Pro absolutely justifies the price jump. But if you are just using a top of the line crop sensor with a SD card, the SanDisk Extreme is all you could ever need.

Now, if camera companies start coming out with 50MP crop sensors that can shoot 10FPS and unlimited buffer and still uses an SD card... I will adjust my review.

Have bought many SanDisk memory cards over the years...never a bad one. Got this for use in my Nikon D-800 (36mp full frame 35mm chip with 1080p HD video also. Works fine in video and burst shots. However, I suspect that this may be overkill for that camera as I have used the Ultra 40mb/s and even slower and could detect no problems speed wise. Others people have talked about a specific camera not working with slower cards. I am beginning to think that those cases are a problem of poor IO design by the camera companies and not the card makers. Bottom line...before paying the extra premium price for a bunch of very high speeed cards...you might be advised to get one of the cheaper slower cards and see if there is any slowing on YOUR specific camera. Would have a 5th star but price of all of these premium cards seems too high for the slight improvement over the versions below them.

And I'm pleased to say that this 16GB Sandisk Extreme SD card does it nicely; that is capturing 1080P footage on a Rebel T2i. I don't often use my girlfriend's T2i, but when I do it's for capturing video only - we both shoot Canon 5Ds for portraiture, but every so often I do a little video for work/clients and the T2i paired with some of our pro lenses performs flawlessly. Since video work is only every now and then, I didn't feel the need to invest in an SD card from the Extreme Pro line, but I've had issues with the Ultra cards and buffers despite their write speeds and class ratings being sufficient for video capture on paper. So I settled on the this Extreme card as a nice speed and size for the relatively inexpensive price, and I have not been disappointed.

I've been shooting almost exclusively on Sandisk cards for about 6 years now, with only one minor mishap with a card that would give image errors once every couple of hundred shots. Apart from that one card, I have never had any issues, and this Sandisk Extreme SD card is no different - I've put many hours of footage on to it without so much as a frame being corrupted. For the price, the size and the speed, this is one heck of a card for the money and I would certainly suggest giving it a shot. As a bonus, I've used this card in conjunction with a CF-to-SD adapter and it works pretty well capturing stills on a 5D as well!

Inexpensive (not cheap) and completely reliable - I'm very pleased with this purchase!
