How To Write An Online Personal Ad

dating women online
Venturing into the world of online matchmaking is a step that thousands of single men take every day, and fortunately, thousands of women as well. But while some might be confused as to how to approach women on and offline, they still give getting hooked on virtual love a shot.

personal profile

No matter how many personals you've read and responses you've sent out, it's not the same until you actually write one yourself. The problem is that many might think they know what to write, but don't. Follow these tips and give the World Wide Web of personals a chance.

Be creative and fresh
Stating the obvious is as boring as it gets. Since everyone is looking for love in all corners of the world, don't restate what others have been saying for years. Put on your thinking cap and create your own persona. Instead of writing, "Looking for a potential mate to spend time with and grow fond of" (yawn), write something like, "Looking for a partner in crime to go skinny-dipping and sneak into movies with."

"Long romantic walks on the beach under the moonlight" has been used to death. Come up with your own comments and save yourself the embarrassment of simply being a face in the crowd, or a number among millions.

Be honest; don't bullcrap
Saying exactly what kind of person you are will help single women paint a better picture of you. And with a truthful approach comes less disappointment, hence increasing the chances of finding the mate you're looking for.

Don't show off
As important as it is to be straightforward with your personality and mentality, there's no reason to write that you own a yacht, a house in the Hamptons and two luxury cars. Nobody likes a showoff; all it does is increase the risk of an immediate turnoff from your female counterparts.

Do talk about age
As irrelevant as it may seem to some, age is still a deal-breaker for many. Although you can provide a range for your age and say that you're within the 30-40 bracket, you're better off being precise. If you're looking for someone no older than 28, then a 42-year-old woman won't cut it. And vice versa.

Be specific with details
Mentioning that you like "Quiet evenings at home by the fireplace, with a good movie and a glass of wine," is clich. The idea is to implicitly make yourself stand out. (I'm not going to write it for you here; figure it out yourself!)
