Louise 'Lou" Todd Hicks

Louise Todd Hicks (Lou), age 59, peacefully passed away Sunday, March 1, 2015 at Memorial Hospital in Gulfport. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marguerite Honeycutt Todd and James Ernest Todd, and her father-in-law, Clyde Hicks. Lou is survived by her daughters, Amber (Scott) Lambert of The Woodlands, TX, Amanda (Matthew) Magee of Gulfport, and Lorie Meyers Hicks (adopted) of Long Beach; siblings, Rita (Don) Montgomery and Robert (Diana ) Todd all of Grenada, MS; mother-in-law, Nancy Hicks (Robert) Vogt of Long Beach-who loved her like a daughter; and five grandchildren, Kailey, Jackson, Emma, Ella and Charlie. She was born in Grenada, MS where she lived for 17 years before moving to the Gulf Coast and marrying Michael Hicks of Long Beach. Lou was considered the ultimate caregiver and always put others first. Her home and her heart was always open to anyone in need. She cherished family and friends and loved unconditionally. Visitation will be held Saturday, March 7, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Long Beach followed by Mass at 12:00 p.m. There will be a reception following the service at the Community Center at St. Thomas Church. Special thanks to the 3rd floor oncology staff at Memorial Hospital at Gulfport for going above and beyond not only for Lou, but for the entire family.
