Starter for 6 was a business development programme, devised specifically for the creative industries sector, supported by the Scottish Government and run by Cultural Enterprise Office. Between 2010 and 2015 it supported 232 start-ups and directly invested £850,000 in creative businesses helping them to get their ideas and products to market.
Businesses supported through Starter for 6 have included a hip hop dance video-sharing platform, a Scottish ski manufacturer, an independent publishing house, a forward-thinking fashion brand, and a Dundee-based games studio.
The Starter for 6 programme is resting in 2016 so there will be no application process.
