China Mcclain’s 'ANT Farm' Canceled, Bridgit Mendler’s 'Good Luck Charlie' Lesbian Episode Announced Before Series Finale

The guard is changing at Disney Channel. A few years ago, it was Hannah Montana and The Suite Life on Deck (we saw how that turned out). Then came the current age of Jessie, Dog with a Blog and so on. However, two of your favorite shows from the Disney Channel line up are ending. Late last month, China Anne McClain announced that her show, ANT Farm, was being canceled. Bridgit Mendler’s hit show, Good Luck Charlie, is also marching towards a series finale, however, GLC will break new ground on it’s way out. One of the very last episodes of the show will feature a lesbian couple.

Well we should've known that when ANT Farm’s Jake Short and Good Luck Charlie’s Bradley Steven Perry were both cast on Disney XD’s Mighty Med, that their Disney Channel series were probably both over. Disney XD is often where boy Disney Channel stars go to work after their series ends.

Over the Christmas holiday, China Anne McClain...crawled through a vent and walked on broken glass with her barefeet….Sorry, that was John McClane.

McClain, however, did shock fans of her hit series, ANT Farm, when she tweeted that it series was getting canceled, saying:

“It was GREAT filming ANT Farmbut after 3 seasons it's come to an end. I'm excited about my secret projects and keeping you guys happy!”

Meanwhile, Good Luck Charlie is also on it’s way out of the door. The series is down to it’s final five episodes, however, the show has big plans for the last five.

One of the very last episodes will feature a lesbian couple. The same sex parents' child--That is right! Get over it Duck Dynasty--will have a play date with Charlie. This will be the first time a lesbian couple has been featured on the Disney Channel.
