WSU football recruiting: LB Logan Tago officially signs his letter of intent

Another Coach Joe special is on his way to Pullman as linebacker Logan Tago has faxed in his letter of intent.

Tago committed to Washington State following an official visit in the middle of December and had a brief flirtation with Oregon State in the middle of last month. As we've seen though, Joe Salave'a will not be denied a recruit from American Samoa and Tago stuck with his commitment to Washington State.

As you can see in his highlight reel below, Tago has a real nose for the football and his lateral movement is impressive. His size coming out of high school is pretty darn impressive as well, standing 6-foot-3 and 230 pounds. Tago is listed as an outside linebacker and given the depth at that position, it wouldn't surprise me if Tago was in the running for a starting spot right away. The likelihood is a redshirt, obviously, but don't be shocked if he makes some waves in fall camp.

Tago also had offers from Oregon State, Colorado, Hawaii and Washington.

Also played receiver in high school...and has a punting highlight! And a couple punt return highlights! Very fast and athletic, plays with a high intensity but could benefit from a season at training table getting the strength and physicality up. Really exciting prospect, his base athleticism is pretty impressive.
