Sean Spence has PCL injury, according to Steelers coach Mike Tomlin

The Steelers witness the injury to emotional leader Spence amid a shellacking at the hands of the Eagles.

Adding insult to injury, then more injury, the Steelers saw linebacker Sean Spence go down with an apparent right knee injury in the third quarter of Philadelphia's shellacking of Pittsburgh in their third preseason game.

Spence, who is recovering from a devastating left knee injury that kept him out of the last two seasons, was helped off the field amid a 24-0 Eagles lead. The Steelers kept their top units in after halftime, likely indicative of a terrible performance in wake of the arrest and subsequent marijuana possession charges to running backs Le'Veon Bell and LeGarrette Blount.

There wasn't an update at the time of publication but Spence, a fan favorite who inspired the team with his heroic return in the team's first preseason, may have a significant injury.

It would be as disheartening as it could get, to put it mildly. Stay with BTSC for any further reports, as well as postgame coverage.
