This research on São Paulo Brutalist Architecture (1953-1973) introduces a selection of 78 works, among the foremost examples of this architectural trend. It organizes in digital media some textual, graphic and visual information on every work and a brief introduction to the subject. It aims to expand the knowledge about Brazilian and São Paulo (Paulista) Brutalist architecture providing some basic information of its main works.

This material is open to consultation and use by students, architects, professors and other people interested in architecture as a cultural expression.

This research goal is also to help outline a wide-ranging acknowledgment of the quality and importance of São Paulo’s Brutalist trend, works and authors, revaluating that historical moment and analyzing them in accordance with a contemporary architectural and critical approach.

The works studied in this research on Paulista brutalist architecture have been organized along a TIMELINE, which also includes other reference works, both Brazilian and international. Besides a date consultation, the works can also be accessed by the ARCHITECTS’ or WORKS’ names.
